  • Ouija board

    Hi my name is Aaron. I live in Nashville Tennessee. I’m 24 years old, and I want to tell you about the Ouija board. First thing is you should never play with it not knowing what its about and what it can do, its not a game at all trust me I know.
    The first time I played with one I was 16. I played alone in my room with the lights off. I had a black light on so I wouldn’t be as scared but later on that wasn’t going to help me. I started playing with it and didn’t know much about it at the time I just knew all it did was you could talk to spirits and stuff.

    My name is Emily and I am from New Orleans. About 5 months ago, my husband and I had just settled into our new home. It wasn't until about one week later that I had started to sense unusual activity.

    When I was younger, around seven or eight, my mom's husband bought a house on the outskirts of Muncie, Indiana near the old Ball family mansion. It was built around the 1900's on an Indian burial ground. It was huge and even had a tennis court and a pool/pool house, but it was pretty cheap because it had been vacant for two years and was pretty rundown.

The girl was determined to have the nobleman for her own, so she drowned her children to prove her love to him. But still he would have none of her and married another.

    There once was a beautiful girl engaged to a soldier who caught the eye of an evil woodsman who had sold his soul for the ability to turn himself into a wolf at will. He lay in wait for the girl when she was walking home one day and accosted her, begging her to elope with him. The maiden refused, spurning his love and crying out to her love to save her from his advances.


     

  • The Storm Hag

    She lurks below the surface of the lake near Presque Isle, her lithe form forever swimming through the weeds and the mire. Pale and green of skin, her yellow eyes shine luminously in the dark, and her thin long arms wrap themselves around the unwary, while foul-green pointed teeth sink into soft flesh and sharp nails at the end of long bony fingers stroke you into the deepest sleep there is.

    I'm new to this website, but I just wanted to share the story about the house I used to live in Covington Indiana. Well, when my family bought the house we knew it used to be an old train depot, but after the years went by they fixed it up as a two story house but the upstairs was made into an apartment like.

  • My personal ghost

    North Manchester-Haunted Houses -At 104 East 2nd Street there is a big brick house that has apartments in it. We had the entire house as we had a big family. It was months before we discovered it had a second attic, behind a wall in the upstairs kitchen. It joined the upper attic by a passageway. I have seen at least two ghosts at this house and on frequent occasions.

    I served in the United States Army in the Infantry with the 101st Airborne. While I was in active duty I was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. My unit spent most of our time in Mosul Iraq in the northern part of the country.

  • Shadow Spirit and black animals

    One Summer, my parents and I went to San Antonio, Texas to get away from people and problems. We decided to go to the Riverside Mall and look around. It seemed like a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary. But then we went outside to walk along the "river..." Among a small group of pigeons was the strangest pigeon I've ever seen! The pigeon was completely black! I stared at it as we walked past, and it stared back.

    Findlay, Illinois I became aware of the shadows shortly after moving into my house in Findlay, Il.. My daughters' playroom was in the basement and they were constantly complaining that they were always seeing something move out of the corners of their eyes. My youngest also said they hovered near the ceiling. In later years, I had my floral workshop in the basement and saw them constantly. It got to the point where I would talk to them with my mind, not that they ever answered back. They were black.

    She lived deep in the forest in a tiny cottage and sold herbal remedies for a living. Folks called her Bloody Mary, and said she was a witch. None dared cross the old crone for fear that their cows would go dry, their food-stores rot away before winter, their children take sick of fever, or any number of terrible things that an angry witch could do to her neighbors. Then the little girls in the village began to disappear, one by one. No one could find out where they had gone.

  • Blackbeard's Ghost

    Blackbeard.gifThe nefarious pirate Blackbeard (who's real name was Edward Teach) was a tall man with a very long black beard that covered most of his face and extended down to his waist. He tied his beard up in pigtails adorned with black ribbons.

  • Army of the Dead

    A laundress, newly moved to Charleston following the Civil War, found herself awakened at the stroke of twelve each night by the rumble of heavy wheels passing in the street. But she lived on a dead end street, and had no explanation for the noise. Her husband would not allow her to look out the window when she heard the sounds, telling her to leave well enough alone. Finally, she asked the woman who washed at the tub next to hers. The woman said: "What you are hearing is the Army of the Dead. They are Confederate soldiers who died in hospital without knowing that the war was over.

  • Not sure if it was a dream

       Firstly I would like to say I am not sure if this was a dream or not.
    At the time it happened it was very real to me but over the months I have started to wonder whether it was otherwise because I haven't experienced anything like this again... at least not yet.

    The girl hurried through her schoolwork as fast as she could. It was the night of the high school dance, along about 70 years ago in the town of Kingsville, Texas. The girl was so excited about the dance. She had bought a brand new, sparkly red dress for the dance. She knew she looked smashing in it. It was going to be the best evening of her life.

    Then her mother came in the house, looking pale and determined.

  • Haunted Inn

    This is a True story and it happened to me. I was born and raised in Massachusetts, USA. I married and moved away to Indiana. My husband and I liked to visit my relatives but he always wanted to stay at the Inn in Newburyport verses staying with my relations.

    This incident happened October of 2005. I had heard stories that this Inn was haunted, but had not yet had an experience there.

  • Mum Dad & Haunted Brnet Hospital

    Barnet Hospital (located just outside London in the UK) is haunted. My dad fell ill in 1979 and spent several years at the hospital. As a family we would spend hours there visiting and got to know the hospital and the wards very well. My father sadly died in 1985 and I didn't return to the hospital until my mother fell ill in 1995. It was on that visit to the hospital to see mum that I had my first paranormal experience.

    One spring day in 2007, I was washing my dishes, and as I looked out my kitchen window, me jaw dropped. I saw a body, spirit, ghost ...whichever you may call it, out near my barn. She was about 7-10 years of age. She had two pigtails with red-brown hair. She was wearing ribbons in her hair. She was also wearing a green dressing with flowers embroidered on it. She had beautiful brown eyes.

    A few days later, I saw her again so, I decided to go to the City Hall and find information on this girl.

  • Home alone or was I ?

    My experience took place in my house on Tuesday the 18th of August. I was watching TV when I started to hear a groaning noise, almost like the sound of someone in pain. My parents had gone out for dinner and my only brother was over at a friend's place for the night. I turned on all of the lights and checked the house making sure that I was THE ONLY ONE in the house. Sure enough I was alone.

      I was born in Liverpool but moved to Leeds. The house we moved into was very welcoming. I have an older brother who is 10 years older than me and I was 6 at the time so he was 16.

       This all started when we got a new fan/lights put in the living room and at night on no certain time the lights would flicker.

     We purchased our house in October 2004, a nice place outside of a small town with a small acreage, a nice home, big shop, and a stocked pond. A perfect place for a 'tired of the city life' family.  Our new home had been abandoned for almost a year prior to our buying it. Imagine all the yard work that was needed! My boyfriend is a car hauler and is gone a lot of the time, so it leaves my daughter and myself home alone.
